Wednesday Evening Prayer/Study

Pastor Glenn L Jones serves as the principle teacher/facilitator for Wednesday evening prayer/study. Elder Elizabeth Hicks, assists in his absence. During 2003, we focused on Prayers that Avail Much as examples demonstrating how to pray using God’s Word, the Bible, as the basic language. Those attending had the experience in writing prayers using God’s Word.

We studied Old Testament gestures of worship with Scriptural examples. The significance was discussed as well s the contemporary parallels.

The last area we covered was Worship: Elements in Paul’s Letters to Corinth.

We integrate prayer in each of our gatherings, praying specifically for the persons whose names appear in the weekly bulletin. We also pray for specific circumstances, crisis situations, and other people whose names are brought before the group. We give thanks and praise for moments of joy and blessings.
