Reverend
Glenn Jones is a native Californian, born in Los Angeles to Henry and
Georgia Jones, the youngest of three children. He was raised in Los
Angeles, attended the public schools, and graduated from John C.
Fremont High School. Reverend Jones earned a Master of Arts Degree in
Pastoral Ministries and Church Music from Ashland Theological Seminary
in Ashland, Ohio.
Reverend Jones is not only a preacher-pastor, but he is also a
musician, educator, church music consultant and workshop clinician, as
well as a published composer of sacred choral music with Mar-Vel
Publishers, Mark Foster music, and OLA Publications. He served as
pastor of the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, San Diego, CA, for ten years,
and is the founder of Tehillah International Ministries, a non-profit
ministry which offers a series of workshops designed to improve the
ministry of the local church through Christian Education and Music
Workshops, as well as Worship Planning.
Reverend Jones is well known to the Westminster congregation, as he
had conducted a retreat/workshop for the Sanctuary Choir, participated
in one Westminster church wide retreat, and had served as guest
minister prior to his assignment as Westminster’s pastor on March 7,
2002.
The officers and the congregation are blessed with his vision,
leadership, and service, and are appreciative of his continuing
ministry to the church.
